    1. John Kuenster Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Remembrances of the Angels: 50th Anniversary Reminiscences of the Fire No One Can Forget book, this is one of the most wanted John Kuenster author readers around the world.

    2. A companion volume to Mr. Kuenster's earlier work, To Sleep With the Angels, Remembrances of the Angels is an anthology of brief memoirs from survivors, rescuers and bystanders related to the Our Lady of the Angels School Fire of 1958. As a book of personal recollections, it is an invaluable addition to the publicly available material on the fire and its aftermath. However, as it is only an anthology of personal recollections, there is little to no context for the material if the reader has not [...]

    3. This was a very good and very heartbreaking book. The fire at Our Lady of the Angels school was awful. This book gives you a handful of eye witness accounts from some of the children and adults and rescuers that were there. Some times it gets painful to read, as a mother. What struck me hard was that back then, the children were expected to just stuff their feelings and their memories. That was as big of a tragedy as the fire.

    4. John Kuenster's anthology of personal reflections by survivors and others connected to the devastating fire at the Our Lady of the Angels school in Chicago in 1958. Although the incident occurred over 50 years ago, it is vividly recalled by many whose lives were touched by it. A few years ago, I read To Sleep with the Angels, an investigative account of the fire and aftermath by the same author. This earlier work is far superior.

    5. A very moving read. The companion piece to the first book about the tragedy. The outlines and diagrams are very helpful for the reader to understand what happened and the capriciousness of an out-of-control fire.

    6. A companion to his other book on the fire, this is more personal but contains less information. Definitely a touching and worthwhile read.
