    1. Ethan Stone Sara York Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Transparency book, this is one of the most wanted Ethan Stone Sara York author readers around the world.

    2. A nice contemporary romance short story about a man who wants to find that special someone, but fears his body will not be enough for a potential partner. Fortunately for him, he gets on the radar a sweet bear of a man who is willing to push through those fears.Full disclosure--the authors contacted me to read a version of this short story a few weeks before they released. I’m not normally a fan of “straight-up” contemporary romances, but this story was a bit different since the main chara [...]

    3. I came over all verklempt reading this. I thought it was very emotionally involving and beautiful. Also hot :D I would have cut the story off at 82% because I felt the ending was a bit movie-of-the-week.Good characterizations (again, excluding the very last part) and writing that just got out of the way and let the story speak, yay. Thanks to ttg for putting this on my radar.

    4. 3.5 rounded up to 4 starsI really liked so much about this story - the MCs were great together and the scenes between them worked well. Charlie was super sweet and I just wanted to give him a huge hug for being so awesome.(Charlie's friends were total asshats and I was so glad he stuck up for Taylor like he did!)I wish the whole thing had been a little longer, and the insta-boyfriends thing always bugs me. Maybe a bit more background on both the MCs would have worked tooOverall a really nice loo [...]

    5. The saying that "image is everything" is true for a lot of people, and it's all about being accepted by a group or being seen as "being someone". Usually, it focuses on the surface someone presents to others, but sometimes it goes deeper. Sometimes, it is about who a person really is at the core and wanting to make sure others see them as they are – despite appearances. This is a very tough situation to be in, as anyone who has ever been told they are "not enough" (for whatever reason) will kn [...]

    6. Read on 11-18-13I have to say this was my first transgender short I have read. It did not disappoint, other than the fact it was too short. I would have liked to have dug a little deeper into Taylor and Charlie's life. I will say though that Charlie has some shitty friends :( Why do people associate with people who only bring you down and make fun of you? All of them did. It hurt my heart. I wanted Charlie to lay into them, but he seemed to let it happen. As far as Taylor, there are no words. I l [...]

    7. Reviewed for the Blog of Sid LoveWhen I read the blurb of this story I was intrigued by the premise. I don’t know a lot about the transgender community but I’m always looking to learn something new. Charlie is a sweetheart and pushed a lot of buttons for me. A big burly man who doesn’t mind admitting to his need to be dominated by someone smaller in bed? I loved it. He’s caring, understanding and opened minded, which is more than I can say for his friends. He definitely needs better frie [...]

    8. I wanted to like this book. I started out liking it too. It was fascinating to see the world through Taylor's eyes and get a glimpse into his daily struggles. I wish those had been expanded on a little bit more, but it's only 50-some pages long so I was accepting of that.I started to have inklings that I was going to be disappointed when Charlie was playing poker with his buddies. The conversation they were having wasn't flowing well and it was obviously setting the stage for the rest of the boo [...]

    9. When I purchased this book I didn't know this story was about a transgender, I found this fascinating and sad at the same time. Fascinating because I found this subject very interesting.Sad, because it is heartbroken to see how much this people suffer physically, mentally and socially to finally feel happy and comfortable with their body. This story was very good, however it was too short to reached the full potential, a sequel would be terrific.

    10. This was ok for me, and I liked the idea of this, but I think the overall story fell flat for me. I personally wasn't a fan of how Charlie and Taylor "meet" for the first time, and Charlie's friends were awful. I think this had potential but the shortness and writing seemed to only skim the surface instead of really showing us what could have been a great story with a transgender character.

    11. This might have been more successful had it been longer. It was a tad too insta for me. Also, as others have noted in their reviews, Charlie's friends were just awful and a tad unbelievably written (especially one).

    13. “Transparency” is the story of an older, larger, bearish gay man, Charlie, who becomes infatuated with a younger, smaller, twinkish man, Taylor. Charlie is very upfront and knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to Taylor that he wants him. Taylor, on the other hand, is very shy and worries about how Charlie may react when he discovers the truth about Taylor. The story is very well done and I enjoyed these two characters and their differing personalities that allowed them to come together. It [...]

    14. I wanted to like it. I really did. The plot idea, a trans man falling for a guy and having to decide if pursuing a relationship is worth the risk of rejection, is solid and I was excited to see what the authors would do with it. Unfortunately, the writing was so poor that it barely registered as a story. It was more like the description of a story, explained by someone who has only recently begun to master English and wants to use their whole vocabulary. (If that's actually the case please disre [...]

    15. Taylor meets Charlie at a glory hole and is afraid to make further contact because he’s been burned in the past by guys who can’t see past his past. Charlie is Taylor’s dream guy, big, hairy, tough… and unlikely to want someone like Taylor. Transgender. But… Taylor doesn’t know Charlie and when Charlie convinces him to give their relationship a chance, Charlie surprises Taylor with the depth of his heart and his willingness to see past the body to the person underneath.**This is a sho [...]

    16. This review was originally written for Joyfully Jay Reviews.4.5 starsI must admit I hesitated over the writing of this review. There were many reasons for that, but the main one was that I respect these two authors Ethan Stone and Sara York immensely and never in a million years expected their partnering to create such a lovely story. However, along that same vein I was also hopeful that the short story they put together would end a bit more strongly than it did—with as much energy and tension [...]

    17. For my honest and true view of this book, please readMORE TOS-compliant review (I think, let me know when they tell us what the rules are):"The book I just read is about two (or three) lovely people, written in beautiful language, by a very good and prolific author. I liked it very, very much.It is for sale on .”DISCLAIMER: My reviews now all have this pretty face, so that all and everyone on can stay happy and beatific. I’ll let you know if I change my mind. 18. This is the story of Taylor a transman. All he wants is for the world to see him how he views himselfwhich is male. After a couple of run ins with a bearish Charlie they arrange to go on a date. At the end of the date of course sex comes into the equation causing Taylor a massive amount of distress.I loved that Charlie was so calm about Taylors sexuality when he found out. It doesn't take much thought to see how wrong their relationship could go and to understand Taylors torment. We can live in [...]

    19. Ethan Stone and Sara York did a fantastic job of expressing Taylor’s inner turmoil. As a straight woman it is very hard to understand how Taylor feels deep inside himself. Reading about Taylor really got those feelings across. This story showed how much hate and harassment Taylor has to go through just to feel comfortable in his own skin; it also shows how even some members of the gay community refuse to accept everyone in the QUILTBAG.See the entire review at The Novel Approach: thenovelappro [...]

    20. As always I'm a bit hasty when buying books. I read the first sentences of the blurb, check out the rating points and then order. I didn't know that this was a transgender book, not that I mind at all but it was not what I'd expected. I wanted to like it more than I did but the writing lacked in flow and the chracters, especially the secondary ones, were pretty flat. Charlies friends were horrible and I just couldn't believe them.

    21. As a straight woman, I can be honest in admitting I don't know near enough about what transgender people go through. What I know now is that a love story is a love story and this is a beautiful one. I know becoming who you are inside is probably the bravest thing you could ever do. I know Taylor and Charlie found love together being who they are. I know this was worth reading and I did so with a big freaking grin at the end.

    22. The writing on this book was caring, understanding, and at times very hot. Taylor meets Charlie one day, falling into lust at the look of the bigger man with a beard. Unknown to Taylor, he attracts Charlie too, but Taylor is vulnerable and weighed down with secrets that have left him feeling an outcast more than someone who fits in. I would have liked an epilogue, maybe a few months later, but this is definitely worth reading.

    23. I bought this back when ARe was having a sale and it looked really good. It didn't disappoint!I really enjoyed the story, there was a lot of worry and some hiding but, when it came down to it, it just wasn't an issue which is how it should be. I know that's not usually how it is, but I was really glad to see a happier story written about transgender love. I can't wait until the day when love will always win!

    24. I really liked it why did it only gave it only 4 stars? Because i wanted more of the two of them for the story to be more in details and to know how their relationship will go on. However itq definitely a read which is worth it even more since the subject is so important and people are still being like that towards others

    25. Loved this book. The audio narration was faultless. The emotional conflict for Taylor was spot on. I really connected with him. Charlie was fabulous and so easy to fall in love with. This is a short erotic and romantic book but so worth the listen. I loved it so much I listened to it a second time straight afterwards. Off to find more audiobooks by this narrator and these authors.

    26. What made this book 4 stars for me was the way it tapped into my emotions and really made me feel for Taylor. The storytelling of Taylor's need for acceptance of what he knew himself to be made me care what happened to him. Charlie was an absolute sweetie! All told I enjoyed it but I would have enjoyed it more if it was a bit longer and gave me more depth to the characters and story.

    27. TransgenderTransgender person dating a gay man, interesting concept. The story deals with the prejudices for people who are different. In this case prejudice expressed by women aware of the sex change and an unaccepting homosexual.A short sweet story that covers the issue well.

    28. The only fault I had with this story was the length. It's far too short for such an original idea. While this may not be everyone's cup of tea, I quite enjoyed the book and I do recommend it to others.

    29. 3.5 out of 5I had read over 600 M/M stories and this was my first *trans story. The idea was interesting and different. I just wanted Charlie to think about Taylor's secret a little longer. I think maybe several dates were needed before the reveal. Nice short story.

    30. I would have liked to see more about these guys. I did have problems with them hooking up so quickly especially with the quick acceptance of the transgender situation. Realistically I would expect it would take a bit more getting to know each other before jumping into sex.

    31. Lovely little story about Taylor and Charlie who are both looking for love and acceptance for who they are. Charlie had some bloody awful friends and Taylor had suffered through a lot of pain and rejection just to be who HE was.Very sweet love story - recommended x
