    1. I am a children s book author AND avid reader, stay at home mom, part time business consultant, Sunday school teacher, book club member, chauffeur, volleyball coach, wife and mom, not necessarily in that order.

    2. I haven't read the first in this series, but I wouldn't mind going back and doing so now. Despite not having met any characters yet, I did not feel as if I needed book one to get connected. Lisa Ard does a nice job of reintroducing the characters to a 'new' reader. It didn't seem too heavy, either, that if you had read book one you would be annoyed by it. That being said, I really enjoyed the characters. The relationship between them felt true to how relationships work in real life, so it was ea [...]

    3. Great story! Fun to read and fun to share! Dream Team is the second book in the Dream Seeker series by author Lisa Ard. In this story, young Patrick Connelly faces the challenges of puberty, with the help of his sister Grace and a few baseball greats! Dream Team is an engaging middle-school read - and would be perfect as either an independent chapter book or a class read aloud. The emphasis on baseball greats - especially Jackie Robinson - makes this an excellent starter for a Black History Mont [...]

    4. In Lisa Ard’s book Dream Team dreams and reality blend together for Patrick’s family as they experience their dreams as reality. If Patrick breaks a leg in a dream, he wakes up with a broken leg. When Patrick begins to experience the embarrassment that accompanies puberty, his sister decides to help him overcome his fears by taking him on the trip of his dreams. Although this is the second book in the series, you do not have to read the first to be able to follow the story. There is a little [...]

    5. This book was better than book #1 in this series! It is a fabulous book to read with your child. It is high adventure, high interest, and fast paced. However, it is not too complex for them you comprehend as a beginning reader. Loved that! So often, books for these readers are dumbed down, too complex a plot for the length or ability of these readers, or it is just plain boring! I was able to enjoy this book even though I am not a baseball fan. Lots of good life lessons being taught throughthe c [...]

    6. I am enjoying the unfolding of the sibling relationships in this fantastic new series about a family of "dream seekers" who experience their dreams as reality. In Dream Team, Patrick's teenage sister, Grace, coaches him and helps him improve his confidence and dream-seeking skills. I like how Ard creates realistic sibling conversation and conflict. Yes, teenage big sisters can be self-absorbed, but they can have their little brother's best interests at heart once in a while too. Way to go, Lisa [...]

    7. Cute middle grade read. Now have to read the first one in a series. HATE HATE HATE reading books out of order, but as this one was free from the author in exchange for an honest review I cannot complain too much! Full review to come.

    8. Patrick, his sister, younger brother and his Mom are different. Not on the outside so you'd notice, but inside. You see when they go to sleep and dream, it REALLY happens to them. They experience and feel everything that happens while they sleep. In DREAM TEAM, Patrick's voice is changing and he's not sure what to do. In both, Patrick learns valuable lessons. Lisa Ard has a hit series here! The boundaries for these Dream Seekers is endless! I love that about this particular series. There are so [...]

    9. I hope kids will like this dream story about baseball in an unusual setting while learning how Patrick deals with adversity.
